Furniture Designer

Design of custom furniture for residential and commercial clients. Created standards for company drawings and files. Coordinated production of outsourced CNC, water-jet, and upholstered parts.

MADE Design/Build | 2020-2021
Furniture Maker / Fabricator

Produced custom furniture, lighting, and millwork to complement home renovations. Restored or replicated antique woodwork to match original brownstone and townhouse elements. Maintained a library of materials and finishes. Installed custom millwork with additional site carpentry as required. Prepared drawings in AutoCAD and Rhino for fabrication and documentation. 

Stand and Build | 2015 – 2020
Designer / Project Manager

Design and fabrication for commercial and residential woodworking; specializing in retail buildouts, window displays, and museum fixtures. Acted as project manager from initial client meetings through install and deinstall.

Helped to transition the company from purely fabrication to full-service design, project management, fabrication, and installation. Developed standards for managing projects and design process, led research and prototyping of new fabrication and finishing techniques.

Designer

Exhibit and environmental design for Herman Miller, graphic and print design for Mohawk Fine Papers. Conducted brand research for writing copy and developing design. Focused on 3D conceptualization and development, preparing construction drawings, and creating and testing prototypes and exhibit fixtures.
